"It was while discussing plans for this release that it turned out that both Oli and Prepost label head David were fans of 90s ambient/electronica music, and indeed had both utilized music from these genres in DJ sets of theirs in the past. With David commenting that the sounds on 'AHEGPSTRFTCOL' took him back to those heady days, it was decided, after discussion with Bálint, that this recording was a chance to pay homage to the ground-breaking sonic explorers from that scene. Thus, the album title is a pastiche of one of the cornerstone tracks of the time, while the track titles pay respect to some of the most vital record labels from the period. And with the album's sonic footprint resplendent in its mixture of hypnotic ambient atmospheres, state-of-the-art electronic experimentalism and free improvisation spontaneity, it's once again time to, as they would have said back in the 90s, 'Turn on, tune in, and chill out...'"
(Oli Mayne)
